Westgate Mall ANNOUNCES UPCOMING SUMMERTIME EVENTS
Brockton, MA – Westgate Mall is excited to announce many new events and developments that will be happening at the mall during Summer 2012.
New Store Openings
Westgate Malll is celebrating the opening of several new stores, including Market Basket, Best Buy Mobile, Famous Footwear, and Jo-Anne Fabrics in the coming months. In addition to these new store openings, Old Navy has undergone a complete remodel and Westgate Mall’s Kids Play Area will also soon unveil a whole new look.
Summer Fun Days Events
As summer officially kicks off this Memorial Day Weekend, Westgate Mall will celebrate the grand opening of the new Market Basket with A Summer Fun Days Series of events to entertain local families and shoppers. Starting on May 25th and running every weekend until June 10th, Westgate Mall will produce a series of family friendly events that feature 3 large sweepstakes, entertainment, crafts, summer style displays, sampling, discount offers, DJs, giveaways and more. The events will run from 11am to 3pm on Friday and Saturdays and 12noon to 3pm on Sundays and will feature a different theme:
- May 25-28 focusing on Summer Style
- June 1-3 featuring Rainy Day Dreams with Wally, the Boston Red Sox Mascot making a special appearance on June 2nd, and
- June 8-10 says Cheers to Dad!

Additional Upcoming Events
In addition to these exciting summertime events, Westgate Mall will also keep things busy and offer customers the chance to cool off from the summer sun with the following family fun events:
- Brockton Knocks Down Diabetes Walk on Saturday, June 23rd at 8:30am Westgate mall is participating in the Brockton Knocks Down Diabetes Walk. Westgate Mall will host a water station at the half way mark to keep the walkers hydrated and happy.
- Movies at the Mall on Thursday, July 19th and Thursday, August 16th at 2pm. Local children are invited to come cool off at the mall with a movie and refreshments near Westgate Mall’s Kids Play Area.
- Westgate Mall’s Annual Touch A Truck Event. Planning is underway for what is sure to be another great Touch a Truck event. Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 Westgate Mall’s Touch A Truck event will feature some of the biggest and most exciting trucks around, like fire trucks, ambulance, construction vehicles, flat beds and more.
Westgate Mall, an enclosed regional mall in Brockton, Massachusetts, features Macy’s, Sears, Best Buy, CW Price, and Old Navy, plus a great mix of more than 65 specialty stores such as Aéropostale, Victoria’s Secret, American Eagle Outfitters, and The Children’s Place.
